I got nostalgic for POGS, the popular collectible game that swept the schoolyards in the early 90's, which was replaced by Pokemon, then Yu-Gi-Oh, and now Bakugan.

I was coming up with ideas of having the Pogs mascot interacting with some of the other collectible games' characters... this is one of them.

I did try to make this completely in Photoshop.. but it really looked terrible. So, I ended up printing it out, retracing it, and colouring it with pencils...

Hehehehe that's pretty funny. Hey, I remember POGS, but I never knew they were a game. By the time I started noticing them it was the mid 90s and kids were only collecting them to have as a collection. I had maybe one or two, but I knew some kids who had STACKS of them on their window sills. lol

I only played POGS a with a friend of mine. She had a huge collection of them we just played with hers since I din't have many of them. I picked up a few from cereal boxes and fast food restaurants, but that was it... Basically you stacked the POGS and throw down with a Slammer, a large plastic POG, and try to knock off as many of the POGS off the stack as you could. That's all I remember.

I actually have a metal slammer that I bought at a gas station in 1995. I still have it, too. :lol:
